The Kitee zoological park, the 4th biggest zoo in Finland in the beautiful scenery of Lake Pyhäjärvi, has provided wonderful and interesting experices over 10 years.
By wondering along the 2-kilometre scenic route, you can see the king of the park, Riku bear, giving swimming performances with his Lady, Iltatähti ("Evening Star"). Finland´s only yaks bring an exotic breeze from the high slopes of the Himalayas.
The tame alpacas from the Andes in Peru are eager to make friends with visitors, the wild cats Väinö and Tiina protect their offspring and the wolverine couple Aaro and Aura are busy with their feeding activities, to mention just a few of the park´s fascinating inhabitants.
